Unique menu, good prices and great ambience

It is always exciting to find out pubs which are different from the usual and The Exchange Pub can be added to that list. Situated in the building right across the street from The World Trade Centre, you will find it on the first floor. While the entire area is air conditioned, there is a balcony area with a few tables which has a nice view of the Dutch hospital area. If you cannot find any proper seating there is nothing to worry as the next floor has an entire outdoor area.
Standing Out From The Rest

The most important feature is the pub theme which is the share market. While it’s something different to many to come across at such a place, the other most interesting things is their menu. You are provided with a tab which has the menu but the prices of each item varies depending on the demand and time of the day in an attempt to simulate the variation in the stock market. All items have a maximum price limit so that they don’t become overpriced. While it is a unique take to a menu, it can get a bit confusing for a person who do not have basic understanding of the theme but the staff is always happy to help.
Prices and Food

Of course the prices vary in order to stay in line with their theme but overall they are relatively cheaper than other bars and pubs in the area. They do have a good choice of alcohol and it may be cheaper to get a bottle if you are in a group as a few chasers and a portion of finger food is generally included in the price. Also, gave a try at their hot butter cuttlefish and it was delicious and the portion was enough for sharing. Waiting times are actually low even when it’s relatively busy and the staff is really helpful.
Ambience
Location has a really good chill vibe and the surrounding view is absolutely enjoyable if you are able to catch a good table. Fridays are a bit more happening than the other days with a DJ turning the tables. Dress code is casual and they do allow shorts as well but slippers are a no go. Table reservations are not essential unless it’s a large group as they have ample space. All in all, it is a different kind of pub with some good food & good prices and they have mastered the art of balancing what is called a great pub.
